My story
In a world filled with mass produced toys and baby products I struggled to find something unique and adorable for my little boy, so after a couple of sewing lessons from my mum I decided to make softies myself. Every toy is road tested by my toddler and it is a tough test to pass believe me!
My current collection of softies include Rag dolls, teddy bears, Milly and Molly dolls, bunnies, mice, Scotty Dogs, owls, ducks, Matroyshka dolls, Drummer Boys, Robots *all unique hand printed fabrics from Kristen Doran* and the Sassilu doll range. They are lovingly hand made in Adelaide, from exquisite vintage and second hand fabrics. Don’t you just love the smell of second hand fabrics and books? I intentionally designed the dolls to be passed down through generations of children, however not all dolls are playmates, especially for under three year olds.
As they are handmade most will never be exactly the same, even if the design is repeated. It also means that once a fabric combination runs out it is gone forever.
